Biography

Billy Cerveny is a Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian Church (PCA) and the Executive Director of Redbird, a non-profit ministry that ministers through chaplaincy, pastoral counseling, and teaching.

Billy grew up on the banks of the St. John’s River in Jacksonville, Florida and attended Trinity College in Hartford, CT. Before becoming a pastor, Billy was a professional singer/songwriter, recorded 3 studio albums, and toured all over the world.

The Lord called Billy and his family to seminary in 2010 where he studied at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. Billy earned his Master of Divinity with a focus on counseling in 2014 before moving back to Nashville. Billy loves the Lord, teaching others about the gospel and counseling God’s people as they learn what it means to live a life marked by His grace.

Billy currently lives in Jacksonville, FL with his wife Charla and three beautiful children (Emmy, Wiley and Scout).

Billy Cerveny was the original chaplain for Nashville SC (2017-2022) and is now developing chaplaincy opportunities in Jacksonville, FL with a new USL franchise.
