• Timothy Project Liberia 2017 Update — Over 75 pairs of soccer cleats were gathered and sent with Thomas Fahn and his organization, Liberian Institute for Empowerment (L.I.F.E) in early summer of this year.  The cleats were gifted to Soccer Chaplains United, many from team donations but some from individual players.  They were an array of colors and sizes.  When all laid out on the field for the players to choose, it looked like a rainbow of colors, a rainbow of blessings. When Fahn reached out to Soccer Chaplains United with a request for equipment, he shared the reality of the status of his soccer organization. • The Timothy Project: CCPC Uganda 2017 Update is pleased to report that through the soccer gear donated by CrossTraining many lives in the outskirts of Kampala were changed for the good.  Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church (CCPC) is a valued ministry partner of CrossTraining.  Through this partnership Timothy Project donations have touched the lives of hundreds of people in Uganda over the years. This trip, in particular, brought great encouragement to both CCPC and CrossTraining as a former member of Youth For Christ Uganda (YFC) has established and is leading his own soccer league.  His name is JP and he was deeply involved with a previous CCPC trip to Uganda.  Unbeknownst to the CCPC team, JP has since launched his own

"Xolani's sports ministry is establishing pride and leading young men

Jason Rollins, CSCS's Athletic Director and soccer coach, wrote to CrossTraining sharing few of the experiences the team had. "Our time was fantastic and the whole team had a great trip!   We had the opportunity to pass out the pull overs to each of the players on the Cumbre Alta team. Numerous players on the team struggle to even get to practices and games because they cannot afford the 25 cent bus ride, so the pull overs were a very special gift for them. In fact, 3 days after we passed

  • Timothy Project - Valor Kenya 2017 - Part II  Upon return of Valor's Discovery team from Kenya one of the group's leaders, Toby Coffman, summed up the experience in these three words, "It was awesome." In Part I of our story we stated that the Valor Discovery team would be visiting  a community center and an orphanage in Narobi.  As Coffman reports, "We gave the jerseys and the two indestructible balls (a.k.a. One World Futbols) to the community center in the slums where Anthony Wanjiru, now a staffer at Valor, was taken in as a child."  Wanjiru received invaluable assistance that helped him begin his journey from the slums of Nairobi to high school, college, and a Master’s program. "These
