Biography

Wayne Pirmann serves as Development Officer for Soccer Chaplains United. His role will be to help with the general fundraising needs for the ministry and to be available for individual chaplains to help grow their personal support base.

Wayne has a Doctorate in Biblical Archaeology from Newburgh Theological Seminary and a Master of Science, Financial Services from The American College. His undergraduate work was in Anthropology and Math at Dartmouth College.

Wayne has been in and around soccer for many years — dating back to 1977 when he served as Head Coach and Director of Player Development for the now-defunct Ft. Lauderdale Strikers. His other professional work includes the Michigan (Flint City) Bucks and Detroit City FC. He has coached at all levels of the game and holds USSF A and USSF National Youth licenses.

As former president and owner of Pirmann Financial Services, Wayne is gifted financial planner and enjoys coaching and mentoring people in biblical and financial stewardship. In addition, Wayne has served as the President and CEO of START (Short Term Ambassador Relief Teams) for nearly 20 years, and START was the original fiscal sponsor for Soccer Chaplains United, in its earlier days.

Wayne is also a self-published, co- author. His book Self Control | No Compromise is available on Amazon Smile.

Wayne and his wife, Brenda, have three grown children and 6 grandchildren. They split time living in Colorado and Arizona. Wayne’s other interests beside soccer include golf, theology, and biblical archeology.
