Biography

Carlos “Cali” Alejandro is originally from Mexico City, Mexico. He came to the United States in 2011 to work and serve in ministry. He served for several years in youth and mission with an Assemblies of God church. He is, currently, Lead Pastor at Venture en Español, a church plant of Venture Christian Church.

For Cali, seeing professional athletes grow spiritually has been a burden that God placed on his heart a number of years ago. Together with his wife, Dania, they have helped numerous families that are involved in sport, and especially soccer, to shepherd and guide them in their faith journey. He has also served as a chaplain for the Oakland A’s (Major League Baseball) and the minor league San Jose Giants.

Cali is bi-vocational and owns an electrical business, {NAME},that he juggles between his church and chaplain duties. He and his wife have two daughters. He is ordained through the Church of God.

Cali serves as chaplain to the San Jose Earthquakes a position he has held since 2019. He joined Soccer Chaplains United in 2023.
