Biography
Lewis Martin is an experienced and dedicated pastoral leader with a robust academic background and a profound passion for sports and community service. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a Master’s degree from both the University of West Alabama and Wesley Biblical Seminary.
Since September 2004, Lewis has served as the Lead Pastor at Madison Church of the Nazarene, where he has demonstrated exceptional leadership, spiritual guidance, and community engagement. Under his stewardship, the church has seen significant growth in membership and outreach programs, reflecting his commitment to fostering a vibrant and supportive community.
Lewis also brings valuable experience from his work with Marketplace Chaplains, where he uses his pastoral ministry to connect people in the workplace. Marketplace Chaplains exists to share God’s love in the workplace by providing employee care services through Chaplain Teams. This role allows him to develop strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals in various professional environments.
Lewis’s passion for sports, coupled with his extensive pastoral experience, uniquely positions him to serve as a chaplain with Soccer Chaplains United. He has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within sports communities and is dedicated to providing spiritual and emotional support to athletes, coaches, and their families.
Known for his compassionate approach and ability to connect with people of all ages, Lewis aims to inspire and uplift those he serves, promoting values of teamwork, integrity, and perseverance. His love for his family, his community, and sports drives his commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Lewis serves as volunteer chaplain to Huntsville City FC, a position he has held since 2025.
