Biography

Born to military parents in Arizona, Malcolm was raised in Tacoma, Washington. After earning his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina Central University’s School of Business, he began his career in corporate America working as a DEI specialist.

It was around this time that Malcolm heard God’s call to pursue chaplaincy. After much discernment, he began pursuing a Master’s of Divinity at Vanderbilt University Divinity School with a Chaplaincy concentration. Ordained by the International Ministerial Fellowship (2024), Malcolm has previously served as a youth ministry volunteer and Vacation Bible School instructor at Vision Church in Raleigh, NC. Since relocating to Tennessee, he has served as a bass player for the worship ministry of Proclamation Church in Nashville.

When not studying or spending time with family, Malcolm enjoys playing tennis, writing music, watching movies, and reading for fun. He is also a dyed-in-the-wool Seattle Seahawks fan.

Malcolm has been married to his wonderful wife Karlynn since 2023 with whom he shares the honor of parenting their baby boy Caleb and dog child, Lily.

Malcolm serves as volunteer chaplain to Nashville SC Academy, a role he has held since 2024.
