Biography

Tiago Souza was born and raised in the state of São Paulo (Brazil) and moved to the USA to work and study in Lynchburg, VA in 2013. He currently serves as the Communications Manager at GracePoint Church in Bremerton, WA.

Tiago graduated from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Arts and Religion in Leadership. He also holds a BA in Communications (Advertising/Marketing) from ESPM, in São Paulo Brazil.  He also worked and lived in the city of São Paulo from 2004 to 2013, where he worked as Art Director/Graphic Designer on multiple organizations, such as Advertising Agencies (AGE Isobar/Dentsu), Production Companies (Hungry Man) and Churches (Mount Zion).

As a part of Soccer Chaplains United, Tiago currently serves as a volunteer chaplain in the Pacific Northwest (since 2022), in addition he helps with communications tasks for the organization as a whole and occasional translations to Portuguese, his home language.

Tiago’s ministry experience also includes years serving as a Camp Counselor in Word of Life (Brazil), serving in local churches for most of his life, involved with leadership of youth activities and also playing instruments with worship bands. He also worked as a Communications Minister at BattleCreek Church (2016-2019) in Tulsa (OK) and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary (2013-2016).

His main hobby is following soccer (of course), as he is a big Palmeiras fan, along with other sports. American Football is his other favorite sport to follow, due to the strategic nature of the game and his passion for the Green Bay Packers.
