Give A Gift, It’s Giving Season!
Get ready! Next week begins Facebook’s Giving Season!
Last year, Soccer Chaplains United benefitted some several donors making contributions on Giving Tuesday through Facebook. But we wanted to inform supporters of a change this year. Facebook (Meta) has announced a change to their typical “Giving Tuesday” charitable endeavors with a new “Giving Season.” Essentially, there will be a match for recurring donations setup through Facebook (Meta).
About Giving Season
Giving Season is a 6 week period where Meta may match eligible donations to eligible nonprofits on Facebook. Meta will match up to $7 million of eligible donations. Find out more here.
If you sign up to be a monthly donor to an eligible nonprofit on Facebook during Giving Season, then Meta may match a donation after the second donation made on that recurring agreement.
Matching for Giving Season begins on November 15, 2022 and goes until December 31, 2022, or until the $7 million match fund is spent. For your donation to be eligible for match, you will need to have set up a recurring donation between November 15, 2022 and December 31, 2022. Meta will only match one donation up to $100.

- Limit of $100,000 in match funds received by Meta per nonprofit.

What’s Best for Soccer Chaplains United?
Dear friends, these last couple months of 2022 there are MANY WAYS TO GIVE! To be honest, it feels overwhelming to me! Of course, monthly, recurring giving is perhaps our most preferred method of support as it helps us determine our annual budget and stay debt free in our ministry. But we know that God a) loves a cheerful giver and b) commands us to be generous toward His Kingdom work. So with that in mind, we inform you of all these different options in the hopes that one of them appeals most to you!
Check out our Donation Page with all the different options.
The great thing about Soccer Chaplains United is that when you donate — you are actually a part of the team. Donations don’t go to cover some big building somewhere or pay exorbitant salaries — it goes toward supporting people in soccer and a portion of each donation gets sent out into the far-reaches of the earth through our Community Projects.
Soccer Chaplains United is non-profit, 501(c)3 and depends upon the financial support of individual donors and church partners to carry out our work of chaplaincy service across all levels of soccer. Our chaplains are not employed or paid by any of the clubs that we serve.
