Timothy Project: CHCC Juarez 2016 Final Update
A few weeks ago, Jessica Gimbel and her husband went with a team from Cherry Hills Community Church to Juarez to build a few houses. As part of the Timothy Project: CHCC Juarez 2016 final update they now share a bit of the story from their time there.
We were able to hand out over 100 pairs of cleats and the One-World Play soccer balls that were donated by CrossTraining’s Timothy Project. We were able to play soccer with them more than once while we were there. Our daughter was also able to play with them and loved every minute of it! She can’t wait to go again next year. All the children got super excited about playing soccer…even playing around barb wire fences and gravel and the other, smaller kids that are just watching 😊.
After playing with the local community we were also able to give the men’s soccer team the jerseys that were also donated by Cross Training and Timothy Project. They are so grateful to have these new jerseys for their team to use. Pastor Luis and team say thank you!!!What an amazing experience and time we had to show our love of Jesus through our love of the game of soccer! God has merely allowed us to see what we take for granted and appreciate the time we have on earth!! Love one another!!Thank you for your support and donations!
