What can a ball do? A ball can be a bridge. A ball can break language and cultural barriers. A ball can do a lot. The team has been going to Czech Republic for a number of years now, but not until 2012 did the annual trip utilize soccer and a soccer camp to reach out to children and the young people in the community of Pisek. From June 28- July 5, a team of 8 people - featuring six players and two coaches will travel as part of a larger team from Cherry Hills Community Church (CHCC) in Highlands Ranch, Colorado to their partner church Elim Evangelical Church (EEC) to host soccer camps which are designed to give children an opportunity to start building a foundation

Last night, a team comprised of CrossTraining staff and board members visited the Valor Christian High School team as they packed and prepared to head off to Zacapa, Guatemala this Saturday June 6. The Valor team had reached out to CrossTraining and applied for the Timothy Project. Danny Brooks, a Spanish teacher and soccer coach at the school, asked the organization to  provide them  soccer gear to hand out to the people there. CrossTraining's Executive Director, Brad Kenney, interviewed Laura Shultz one of the female team leaders who is going on the trip. She said the team would be down there for  a total of  28 days. For the better part of this summer, Valor Christian High School Spanish teacher Danny Brooks will lead a team of 15 students to Guatemala to reach individuals and entire communities with the Gospel. The Valor team returns to work with Vida Abundante Church in the impoverished areas of Zacapa, Guatemala and will look to use futból (soccer) as an instrument to reach out to children and teens of various villages. Brooks and his team of students will look to engage communities to come out and play soccer with and use this community building time as a platform for sharing the Gospel and connecting them with the local church.
