• A few weeks ago, Jessica Gimbel and her husband went with a team from Cherry Hills Community Church to Juarez to build a few houses. As part of the Timothy Project: CHCC Juarez 2016 final update they now share a bit of the story from their time there. We were able to hand out over 100 pairs of cleats and the One-World Play soccer balls that were donated by CrossTraining's Timothy Project.  We were able to play soccer with them more than once while we were there.  Our daughter was also able to play with them and loved every minute of it!  She can't wait to go again next year. All the children got super excited about playing soccer...even playing around

  • This week Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church leaves again for Juarez, Mexico, for a week-long mission trip. CCPC has been serving alongside Pastor Jorge Mata and La Iglesia Maranatha for nearly 30 years. This year the short-term mission team will look to work on several service projects on the church compound, lead a morning and afternoon session of Vacation Bible School for 70-100 children and some adults, and continue cultivating relationships with area families, youth, and adults through soccer and other activities. CCPC reached out to CrossTraining last year and made a Timothy Project request. You can read about all they accomplished here. This year, they are requesting any t-shirts, shorts, jerseys, and soccer or basketball equipment that they can take down to enhance their ministry. Pastor Chris Piehl commented

  • In what has been one of the more difficult projects to see fulfilled,  Timothy Project: Liberia 2015 and the goal of Liberian Institute for Empowerment (L.I.F.E.) was to fill and send a shipping container from Colorado to Liberia. The container was finally packed with a lot of soccer equipment, school supplies, and even a vehicle. CrossTraining's commitment was over 800 pieces of soccer equipment including Colorado Rapids jerseys, cones, training vests, backpacks, and cleats and you can read the last update from July. Just last week, CrossTraining received an update on the container and we share that with you now,   The large sign announces, “WELCOME TO THE FREEPORT OF MONROVIA: THE GATEWAY TO LIBERIA’S ECONOMY.”  A sad irony now, given what we painfully endured

  • The Timothy Project: Swaziland 2016 Final Update is finally here! Read below to see how Tim and Tiersa Rogers ministered to New Life Homes and utilized their Timothy Project request and the sport of soccer to touch the lives of the orphaned children. After our wedding we traveled 18 hours from Seattle to Dubai and then another 8 hours to Durban, South Africa. After two months of craziness with our wedding and buying a home it was great to have a few days to slow down in Durban. Life in Africa is not as smooth as in America. It was the winter season and our Saturday bus to Swaziland became a very small SUV on Monday. We were crammed with seven bags
