• Ann Nerney and the team from  Cherry Hills Community Church have returned from Juarez, Mexico and share the following Timothy Project: Mexico 2015 final update. Their team received a donation of nearly 30 soccer balls and many uniform jersey's from the Colorado Rapids via the Timothy Project. Ann and her team were down in Juarez, for four days (9/22 – 9/26) and during that time they built a cafeteria for a middle school, freeing up the previous cafeteria which was really small to become a classroom.  The project provided 32 students a new classroom, and also enabled staff to feed the 350 students at a regular lunch shift.  Previously, the small cafeteria could only seat 20-25 students, 20 minutes at a time -

  • Enjoy these photos from the Stephane Guillaume Academy and the Timothy Project: SGA Haiti 2015 final update. This was one of our first projects of the 2015 season. The Timothy Project sent shoes and equipment and balls - as well as about 50 copies of The Prize to be given away to the children that are part of the academy. Please pray for Stephane and the Academy as soccer is being used to help keep many children off the streets and to be given hope and encouragement. Also, pray for Stephane as he looks for a new professional contract and team.   If you would like to support future Timothy Project ventures, such as this one, please use the Donate Now link

  • It is a well known fact, that of the teams in Major League Soccer, (as a fan) I probably dislike the Los Angeles Galaxy most. I don't know what it is - honestly. I like the owner (Phil Anschutz) as I worked for him when he owned the Colorado Rapids. Dan Gargan is a former Rapids player, and I always cheer on former players that have come through Colorado's doors. Maybe it's that LA seems to always win (they're like the Yankees of Major League Baseball). • The Timothy Project launched out it's first project fulfillment of 2015. A couple boxes of soccer equipment for the Stephane Guillaume Academy (Timothy Project: SGA Haiti 2015) are currently on their way to Florida, where Stephane will pack items to take to the children back in his home country of Haiti. CrossTraining supporters will recall last December's story which featured the former Colorado Rapids player who is currently playing for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers. Stephane has always had a heart for giving back to his community and the children where he grew up. Amongst the donations sent to Stephane were a mix of new and used boots (shoes), shorts, training tops, socks, and balls - as well as about 50 copies of

  • With the draft now concluded and preseason camps underway, the next major event in the life of Major League Soccer is completing the new MLS CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement). The MLS CBA is the league's agreement with the MLSPU (MLS Player's Union) and usually is a 3-5 year labor agreement. The current MLS CBA is set to expire January 31, 2015. On point for this CBA round of talks are two main emphases - (1) increasing the lower and middle wages of players in the league and (2) free agency. Jeff Carlisle of ESPN FC reported that free agency isn't even present in the current MLS CBA proposal, despite many players and former players calling for a change in
