• We just released a new video featuring a testimonial from Brian Shultz, Head Coach of Boys and Girls Soccer at Valor Christian High School. The video (visible here) gives a coach's perspective on the impact and effectiveness of a chaplain on a soccer program. I've worked with Valor for just about five seasons now. As a chaplain, I have seen just about everything happen in and to people within the community of those belonging to the soccer program at Valor. From divorce to death, from disciplinary issues and from team successes to team lows and everything in-between. Head Coach, Brian Shultz offers his own take here on the chaplaincy which has grown this past year. Soccer Chaplains United has a

  •   Last Sunday, I had the privilege of sharing at the Year-end Banquet for the Valor Christian Boys Soccer Program. For 2017, our spiritual theme had covered different aspects of what comprised a real man of faith. As a final example, I shared this story with the players, parents, and coaches assembled. As he lay there, with his worst, life-enemies closing in on his position, he looked around. Two of his brothers were already dead. • Timothy Project: Year To Date Project Award Recipients Summary 2017 - an editorial. I joined the CrossTraining team February 1 with little knowledge of the professional soccer industry.  While soccer filled large amounts of my weekly schedule, it was barely a hint at the caliber of Major League Soccer.  My soccer experiences included sitting in comfy folding chairs on the sidelines while visiting with other soccer moms, growing relationships and evaluating how our sons were progressing through the season. I had gleaned insights and perspectives from Chaplain Brad Kenney over time as he shared about CrossTraining, the Rapids and his passion for chaplaincy.  Those gleanings did not leave me star struck with famous players or a Rapids super-fan but instead
